Basic AR-Platform Rifle
This 1-day basic AR- Platform Rifle course will offer students education related to the AR-Platform rifle system. The course will review firearm safety and range standards before moving into nomenclature, zeroing of both BUIS and electronic sight options, the basics of bullet trajectory and terminal ballistics, firearm care and maintenance, and fundamentals and principles related to multiple shooting positions. On the range, the instructor will combine the classroom drills with live-fire exercises developed to improve the students shooting. Further, at the end of the session, each student will be able to demonstrate the proper loading, unloading and immediate action drills related to the AR-Platform rifle system.

Duration: 1 Day/ 8+ Hours
Ammunition Needed: 200 rounds rifle/ 50 rounds pistol
Equipment Needed: Common patrol/tactical equipment recommended, including vest, knee and elbow pads. AR-Platform rifle, rifle sling (required), secondary weapon, duty belt or tactical rig with holster and magazine pouches, 3 rifle magazines (required 30 round capacity), 3 handgun magazines, suitable clothing for all weather conditions, wrap-around eye protection (clear lenses for low light operation) and ear protection.
