Concealed Carry Considerations Relative to Undercover / Plain-Clothes Operations

This one-day (8-hour) course will cover concealed carry options and gun handling techniques relative to Undercover/ Plain-Clothes Operations. Off-Duty carry can be a consideration as well. Upon completion, Officers will have the skills to safely and proficiently deploy their concealed firearm from multiple shooting positions, including seated inside of a vehicle.

 

Topics to be covered include:

  • Concealed Carry and Kit Options
  • Drawing from Concealment and Proper Manipulation of Cover Garments
  • Re-Holstering
  • Compressed Shooting Positions
  • Modified Shooting Positions
  • Confined Space Shooting
  • Vehicle Considerations Outside and Inside of Vehicle; One and Two-Officer Considerations
  • Fighting and Options Inside of the Vehicle 

 

Duration: 1 Days/ 8+ Hours

 

Tuition:  $50.00

 

Ammunition Needed:  250 pistol rounds 

 

Equipment Needed: The primary firearm you carry concealed for UC/PC operations concealed carry holster you primarily use for these operations (Please note, one-handed re-holstering will be part of this course.  Also, ankle holsters and "Sticky Holsters" are NOT allowed and pocket holsters are NOT recommended), dress in the manner you would during UC/PC operations, Ear Protection, Wrap Around Eye Protection, Extra magazine (not mandatory), Clothing for the elements; incl: rain gear, sunblock, bug spray, water and snacks (1-hour lunch break) and Most Importantly, an open mind and a winning mindset...
